The calendar says summer, but the start of school is just around the corner. That means school supplies shopping for many of our community team members. You can make a difference for their children and grandchildren by giving the educational tools they need to succeed and give much needed support to team members who have worked so hard to support older adults through the pandemic.
This is an easy, impactful way to show your appreciation for associates and help alleviate the stress of preparing for the school year. Each of our Cappella communities is coordinating a school supplies drive.
From mid-July through mid-August, communities will be collecting backpacks, pencils, folders, notebooks and such, to be distributed to associates with children or grandchildren before the first day of school.
This is a great way to come together and show we care as supplies are costly – upwards of $50 for an elementary-school aged student and more for middle school and high-school students whose supply lists often include costly calculators and reference books.
Interested in helping out? Visit your nearest Cappella Living Solutions community to drop off donations. There will be a box located in the lobby where you can drop off your school supply donations.
