CLC and Cappella Receive Honorable Mention from Mather Institute Awards
Christian Living Communities and Cappella Living Solutions’ Mask-Up Challenge has been recognized by Mather Institute through their 2020 Promising Practices Awards! The Mather Institute is committed to “creating Ways to Age Well” through research and innovation. Each year, they recognize organizations that are reimagining their approaches to aging well. Awardees are selected based on their leadership in the areas of “innovation, outcomes presented, replicability of the practice, and impact of the practice on senior living or aging services.”
CLC-Cappella was one of eight organizations honored by Mather Institute, of 35 submissions from around the world. We received “Honorable Mention” for our #WeCareWeWear Mask-Up Challenge. To tackle COVID-19 stress and mask fatigue, the Mask-Up Challenge fired up the competitive spirits and community pride of residents and team members, who pooled their talents to create fun, funny, and heartfelt videos highlighting their masking efforts. “You never think that compliance can be fun and interactive, but it can be done,” said Moriah Bernhardt, senior director of programs. “Our month-long challenge transformed daily compliance with infection control and mask-wearing into a creative and engaging opportunity for team and residents.”
We own and manage senior living communities alongside our parent company, Christian Living Communities.
"When we moved to Holly Creek we thought about what is visible, such as interiors, apartment layout, dining areas, which are all very nice but after living here for a year we have discovered what is most important is the people that live here and employees, who are all so considerate and kind who are at the HEART of Holly Creek. They make Holly Creek a special place in which to live."
