Cappella Living Solutions | November 4, 2021
Celebrations are often spontaneous, but on Thursdays this November at Cappella Living Solutions, we are being intentional in practicing and celebrating gratitude. We encourage you to join us on this journey of thankfulness! This first Thankful Thursday is focused on self-gratitude.

“If you must look back, do so forgivingly. If you must look forward, do so prayerfully. However, the wisest thing you can be is present in the present… gratefully.”
– Maya Angelou
This week we are celebrating the gift of self-gratitude. For some, especially caregivers, this idea of reflecting on oneself may feel uncomfortable, but being thankful for yourself is not selfish or self-centered. Instead, being grateful for yourself is the practice of being thankful for all you are -your personhood, identity, gifts and abilities, and life experiences. It is a way of celebrating your own unique life.
There is only one amazing you! Your life is like a fingerprint. It is your distinctive stamp on the world around you. Sometimes we may fall into negative thinking, believing that our lives really do not matter. The truth is, though, that every life counts. You matter!
Spend a few minutes and celebrate the person you are by reflecting on the exercise below. Then, engage in some creative activity in which you give thanks for who you are.
There is so much to celebrate about the awesome, powerful, resilient and unique you! You DO make a difference!
In all the 22 communities we support we’ve issued a Celebrate Gratitude challenge for the remainder of the year. Celebrating each other, our communities, and our caring organization in small ways that add up to creating an amazing organizational culture! Will you join us?
We own and manage senior living communities alongside our parent company, Christian Living Communities.
"When we moved to Holly Creek we thought about what is visible, such as interiors, apartment layout, dining areas, which are all very nice but after living here for a year we have discovered what is most important is the people that live here and employees, who are all so considerate and kind who are at the HEART of Holly Creek. They make Holly Creek a special place in which to live."
