Christ-based Living Center Gets First Nod by Council
A tentative plan to develop a sprawling new assisted living facility, at the northeast corner of where Horizon Drive meets 26 1/2 Road, took a step forward in the business before Grand Junction City Council Wednesday night. The council approved the outline of a development plan submitted by Christian Living Services, with modified zoning to allow for a 58,000-square-foot facility on the uniquely shaped 2.37-acre parcel just north of St. Mary’s Hospital.
Camille Burke, who is president of Christian Living Services, told councilors that the Colorado-based company is a “big company doing great work” having provided assisted living services in the state for 43 years.
The company’s mission explains how the facility will minister to senior adults, and the company’s care “reflects Christian love, respect and compassion,” Burke said.
The facility would be one of a number of new assisted living facilities planned or proposed in the Grand Valley, amid predictions of a growing elderly community in years to come.

"When we moved to Holly Creek we thought about what is visible, such as interiors, apartment layout, dining areas, which are all very nice but after living here for a year we have discovered what is most important is the people that live here and employees, who are all so considerate and kind who are at the HEART of Holly Creek. They make Holly Creek a special place in which to live."
